The apprenticeship was completed in 2003, marking the first milestone on the path to realizing a dream.

In 2004, the journey took a new turn with the inception of 'Staffys Carpentry.' The focus was primarily on residential framing, but the vision extended far beyond. The dream of building custom homes and turning clients' aspirations into reality began to take shape.

For three years, Stafford Homes was not just a dream; it was a reality. While running 'Staffys Carpentry,' night school was embraced to lay the groundwork for a bigger role in the construction world. The goal was clear – to become a qualified builder and to enhance the skills necessary to create extraordinary homes.

In 2008, Stafford Homes took a pivotal step. A decision was made to close 'Staffys Carpentry' and embark on a new journey as a site supervisor. This role allowed for the sharpening of skills and acquiring invaluable experience in the world of custom home construction. The company worked on projects that exemplified the commitment to quality, setting the stage for the future.

Seven years as a site supervisor paved the way for the realization of the dream. In 2012, the builder's license was earned, and the vision of crafting custom homes began to take root. Even while working as a site supervisor, the passion for construction endured, leading to small renovations, bathroom transformations, pergolas, and modest extensions in the spare moments.

In 2015, it was time for a leap of faith. Stafford Homes was officially born, marking the beginning of a new chapter. The journey shifted from the role of a site supervisor to the fulfillment of a dream – crafting dream homes for others. The focus expanded beyond renovations and extensions to encompass the creation of exceptional custom homes.

The journey continued to evolve, and the commitment to crafting dream homes grew stronger. The transition from renovations and extensions to creating exceptional custom homes saw a pivotal change – I actively participated in the construction process. The hands-on approach was a testament to the dedication to ensuring every project was nothing short of exceptional.

In 2017, Stafford Homes took another important step. The team welcomed Ryan Lloyd as a first-year apprentice, and over the years, he evolved into a highly skilled and qualified professional, earning his qualification in 2021. As he became a key member of the team, the journey took a new direction. With Ryan's growth and potential, I embarked on training him as a site supervisor, passing on valuable experience and knowledge.

A significant milestone in the journey was reached in 2021 with the acquisition of a factory. This move allowed for the creation of a dedicated office and showroom space. It symbolized a deeper commitment to providing clients with a comprehensive and comfortable space to discuss their dream home visions.

The final milestone of this remarkable journey occurred in September 2023 when Stafford Homes proudly opened its office and showroom. It was more than just an office; it was a realization of a dream to create a space where clients could engage in the journey of crafting their custom homes. The office and showroom provided a platform for discussing ideas, viewing design possibilities, and embracing the art of bringing dreams to life.
